MLB Home Run Derby X

Home Run Derby X is Major League Baseball's electrifying new baseball format brought to the masses via a wold tour. Home Runs and epic catches steal the show, while live music and ballpark culture push it to the next level. Using the red thread 'Bring the Noise', we were tasked to launch the world tour and promote the events to a Gen Z audience.

Armed with a toolkit full of sporty chevrons, energetic x's, and bold type, I designed, animated and edited 100's of assets for the tour. I worked closely with a freelance editor to produce an epic launch video that took the form of a limitless zoom. Using archive footage and images, I designed styleframes on Photoshop, carefully planning and building the scenes. The animation weaves in and out of a ballpark, batting cage, batting stage, a quirky sky scene, and festival stage. Other assets included promo and wrap videos for each city, player announcements, and game format explainers.
