Whilst working for Havas Play, our client Carling briefed us to create fun brand awareness content leveraging their partnerships with Premier League football clubs Everton and Newcastle United. The creative was an undercover prank, a disguised famous footballer being egged on by two of his teammates, all in front of unwitting fans on a stadium tour. The content piece would also incorporate a competition for fans to win a free stadium tour.
I designed the visual identity and motion graphics which would be supplied to a production company. I pitched two routes. One drew inspiration from football paraphernalia; crests, jerseys, footballs, and pitches. The other favoured route had a rougher texture, markers, spray paint and a fly poster feel all whilst keeping in line with Carling's branding. The video produced lots of laughs, high engagement on socials, and a delighted client.
